Fox “News,” Taking Misogyny to a Whole New Level

(17 January 2014)

It’s official. Mind-numbingly misogynist Fox “News” has finally gone off the deep end:

Yesterday, 16 January 2014, on Fox’ early-morning opinion talk show Fox & Friends, hosts argued that “wussifying” feminism is a “threat to national security.”

This isn’t a joke. This isn’t a satire. This is serious. You can’t even make stuff like this up.

Highlights:

Bigot Nick Adams: “[Men have] gone from wrestling with crocodiles to wrestling with lattes. …”

Fox “News” Host Elisabeth Hasselbeck: “Is this in direct relation to feminism on the rise?…”

Adams: “Elizabeth, you’ve hit the nail on the head. It is feminism, and basically what feminism has delivered is angry women and feminine men. … From the left, from the politically correct, we have all these attacks on men. It’s a very hard time to be a man in today’s society.”

Hasselbeck: “Do you see this affecting national security? How a nation operates in terms of being a strong presence globally?”

Adams: “Absolutely, without a doubt. I think it has wide-ranging implications. Wimps and wussies deliver mediocrity. And men win. And what America’s always been about is winning. So think it’s pivotal to the health of the country.”

Ahhh, Fox “News,” where bigots say “It’s a very hard time to be a man in today’s society” and “men win” and everyone agrees entirely; Fox “News,” where everything you don’t like is a “threat to national security.”

Keep in mind, this channel of pure, unvariegated far-right propaganda is the most-watched cable “news” channel among viewers & adults age 25-54 (and has been for 12 years). This isn’t some small, toothless channel on the fringes of acceptable politics. It’s dangerous, very, very dangerous…
