German bank closes Jewish NGO’s account because it supports boycott of Israel

Germany’s Bank for Social Economy (Bank für Sozialwirtschaft) terminated its account with the non-profit organization Jewish Voice for a Just Peace in the Middle East (Jüdischen Stimme) because it supports the Boycott, Divestment, and Sanctions (BDS) movement against Israel.

It goes without saying that German banks closing the accounts of Jewish organizations has terrifying historical echoes of violent anti-Semitism. Today, however, it is anti-Zionist and non-Zionist Jewish groups that are the ones being targeted.
