The day is here; it has finally arrived: Less than half of Americans are white Christians — just 46 percent.
The fact that this day has actually arrived, to quote Norman Finkelstein, “caused me to doubt my atheism.”
Thank God, I say unironically — but also ironically, because the irony is good.
In order to celebrate the end of the white Christian majority, here are a bunch of white people singing music written by a dead white composer to celebrate white Jesus (who most definitely was not white, by the way).
I could think of nothing more fitting.
