Quds Day Rally in DC

(27 July 2014)

On the 25th, the world celebrated Quds Day, an annual holiday, held on the last Friday of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, in which the world stands in solidarity with the Palestinian people in their struggle against the racist, colonialist ideology of Zionism.

Several activists in Washington, D.C. organized a rally to celebrate the day, and to call for an end to Israel’s barbaric ongoing massacre in Gaza, Operation Offensive Edge.

This has been a busy past few weeks. We in DC have tried to organize as many Palestinian solidarity actions as possible.

The turnout for the Quds Day rally was not bad. Protesters brought great signs and speakers shared fantastic words of wisdom.
